An Introduction

As I’m new at blogging I am just experimenting with a few ideas on what I really want on this site.  I want to start off with a few family photos but may have to get Raewyn and Russell to supply me with appropriate ones. I would also like to try poem writing but not conventional type poetry. I have been helping a year 6  special needs child at school with writing a certain genre and as she is special needs most of the ideas are coming from me. I am just amazed at how clever most kids are in this class so I have acquired a lot of ideas from them. They have really given me inspiration.

I also want to express my views here on what it is like, from the viewpoint of a novice web user, to have to abide by certain rules when writing emails or when chatting – rules which have been created by peer pressure from other web users.

But anything goes on this site. Contributions from other people would be most appreciated. I feel in the mood for some robust debate also so if my views dont coincide with yours please let me know.

  1. Wow, nice intro. It will be good to see poems that have been inspired by the children at school, they will have something special in them.

Sounds as if my photographic services are not going to be required which will be a shame as I think I could also find some appropriate photos.

Will be interesting to see views on the modern idiom of email writing and internet chat conversations. I think its a bit of a moving target as the communication structures are constantly changing with the developing technology.

  2. Im not ready to debate this until I have put forward my argument. One of the requirements of the Comments submission is that you use non technical language. Remember I’m a rookie.

  3. This sounds very interesting, i shall watch with interest as this develops.

Starting out is a strange experience, and you end up trying many different styles of content and even writing before you find the one that fits you.

I’d certainly be interested in hearing your views on your experiences with technology, and theres nothing like healthy debate!
